Fall is the perfect time for pumpkin crafts, and what’s more fun than turning a real pumpkin into stretchy, squishy slime? Using just a pumpkin, Elmer’s glue, and Elmer’s Magical Liquid, you can create a sensory experience that’s perfect for kids, classrooms, or just a messy, fun afternoon at home. Here’s how to do it!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 1 small pie pumpkin
- 1/2 cup Elmer’s white glue
- 1/2 cup pumpkin pulp (scooped from your pumpkin)
- 1–2 tablespoons Elmer’s Magical Liquid
- Pumpkin carving tools or knife
- Mixing bowl and spoon

PREPARE YOUR PUMPKIN
- Cut open your pumpkin and scoop out the seeds and stringy pulp.
- Reserve the seeds for later if you want to save them!
- Scrape out about 1/2 cup of pumpkin pulp into a bowl.

MIX PUMPKIN AND GLUE
In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin pulp with the Elmer’s white glue. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well blended. You should have a thick, pumpkin-colored base.

ADD ELMER’S MAGICAL LIQUID
Slowly add 1–2 tablespoons of Elmer’s Magical Liquid to the mixture. Stir as you go — the slime will begin to form immediately. Keep mixing and kneading with your hands until the slime becomes stretchy but not sticky.

PLAY AND STORE
Your pumpkin slime is now ready to play with! Stretch it, squish it, and enjoy the fall textures and colors. When done, store it in an airtight container to keep it fresh for several days.

Using a real pumpkin to make slime is a fun, seasonal twist on classic slime-making. It’s safe, sensory-friendly, and gives kids (and adults!) a hands-on way to enjoy fall. Plus, you can save the pumpkin seeds for next year while making this gooey masterpiece.
